Compulsory Initial Assessment

Ensuring the safety and happiness of each dog.

We recognise that each dog has individual requirements and their own unique character therefore all dogs will be subject to an initial assessment prior to taking responsibility for your dog. This is where we will meet face to face and discuss any requirements you have. This will give you the opportunity to get to know us and ask any questions you may have and allows us to initially create a bond with your dog, assess their temperament and identify any training required.
The initial assessment includes a brief walk at a place of interest in your local area. Then if you are happy, all the relevant paperwork can be signed and dates agreed.

Solo And Group Dog Walks

Satisfying your pooch's physical and mental needs.

Away on a conference, work shifts or ill health? For whatever reason if you cant exercise your pooch, Canine Cardio Newport can do that for you.

I offer a variety of dog walks to cater to your dog's specific energy levels and needs. If your dog prefers one-to-one attention then solo walks are the best answer. And if your dog is happier in the company of other dogs group walks are ideal.

I pick and drop off your pooch which is inclusive in the price and does not affect the length of the walk.

If you choose a group walk we will match personalities in each group to ensure they enjoy themselves fully and do not develop bad habits. Once the group is put together, it is constantly assessed.

Dog walks are as followed:

  • 30 minute puppy walk

  • Standard solo 30 minute/ 1 hour/ 2 hour walk

  • Tailored 2 hour solo walk

  • Standard 1/ 2 hour group walk

We will refresh your dog's water on return, give them a treat, feed your dog if required, wipe their mucky paws, towel dry when wet providing towels being left in place or anything else your dog may require. We will send text updates on completion of every walk if requested and you will be able to find regular picture and video updates (subject to customer approval) on any of our social media sites so you can see what your furbabies get up to.

Home Visits

A tailor made plan for your peace of mind.

In work or going out for the evening? Maybe you need a dog sitter for a senior dog who cannot go more than a few hours without a toilet break. It could be a cat that needs feeding, water top up and their litter tray cleaning. A rabbit that needs a feed, cuddle and a hutch cleaned. Or a puppy who needs feeding, a toilet break and a play. Whatever your needs are Canine Cardio Newport can meet the requirement of your pets in their own home.
During home visits we can also carry out house duties such as plant watering and putting bins in and out.
Pop-ins are typically 30 minutes or one hour in duration however this can be negotiated depending on your requirements.

Short Term Home Sitting

Keeping your animals happy and stress free in the comfort of their own home.

Home sitting is the perfect solution when you are away and unable to take your best friend with you. Home sitting means your pet(s) can stay in the comfort of their own home and be looked after as the owner would expect if they were at home themselves.
Pet sitting durations have to be worked around existing dog walking clients therefore your pet must be happy to be left alone for a maximum of 4 hours. Length of stay is negotiable subject to customer and business needs.
These extended stays also give house owners peace of mind as we will take in the post, water plants and take bins in and out.  We will also give you updates including photos while you are away so you know everything is okay.
